Porsche cars have been in the market for quite some time now. In over 100 years of automotive evolution one car has been living its life inheriting its predecessors for the past fifty years. Oh yea! I am talking about the latest member of the legacy of Porsche 911;The Carrera s. Ever since its arrival in 1963, the 911 has been living in its same genesis, and its golden jubilee Porsche has taken it to the next level by cultivating design rather than a rethought .

911 History

For fifty years Porsche has been stuck with the idea of stuffing an engine at the back but half a century of consistent improvisation has resulted in a gem of a car ;The 911 Carrera S. The car is all new , the body is made from aluminium which means its lighter. The 3.8 litre flat six engine has been upgraded and is made from exotic elements such as Titanium still hanging out over the edge at the back. It has a new 7 speed Dual Clutch PDK manual transmission, the vibration inside the cabin has been damped and the car is silent(Well you can amplify the exhaust in sports mode though). The forearm tuning hydraulic steering is replace by an electric power steering unit. The 911 also gets a new Porsche toque vectoring that uses brake to limit inside wheel spin and help rotate car. The handling is quite good, and unlike the scarier 911’s this one has more grip even when the traction is turned off. The Porsche active suspension management button in the driver console give the driver the opportunity to manage the dampers at the touch of a button. The ceramic brakes are capable of handling all types of torture.

Driving this machine in corners has always been a leap of faith, but that’s just not the case with the new 911.The car just catapults you in the direction you want to go. The machine delivers 400 horses and pushes from 0-100 kmp in 4.5 seconds. In-terms of Price stats too the car is essentially reasonable.

The 911 is one of the oldest name plates in the industry and an excellent example to state why it’s said “German engineers do not to take U-turns” even when criticizers pile up. The shape of the car is prime evil, part of the landscape and just as a man got the jitters when he saw the outline of a Saber-tooth tiger in front of his house I am pre-programed to feel the adrenaline whenever I see or hear about a Porsche 911.
