How clutch works.

In a vehicle which is manually transmission we have a clutch in place. You can see the figure below of the car which has a clutch in place. The clutch is located between the engine and the transmission (gear box). The function of the clutch is to engage and disengage the engine and the gear box. It’s a mechanical bonding.

Both the figures will give you a clear idea about its working; you can also have a look at the video to make it more understandable.

How the clutch practically works?

The clutch plate when encaged to the flywheel of the engine, the drive gets carried to the transmission and when the clutch plate is disengaged, the engine and the transmission gets detached and the drive remains in the engine itself.
